The Perfect Holiday Gift for the Astrologer in Your FamilyI've been dabbling with astrology now for about four years. It was about 2 years ago when I had my own chart done by hand by a professional astrologer that I learned how much more, there was to understanding astrology beyond your Sun and Ascendant sign. I took a lesson from this particular astrologer who furthered my awareness with astrology. Since then I have always had a strong interest to improve my knowledge of astrology. When I asked him if there were any good software programs out there for astrology, he directed me to Matrix Software and suggested to start with WinStar Express V3. Matrix Software has many other astrological and new age software, however the WinStar Express V3 is the best one for beginners.
WinStar Express is easy to maneuver around, even if you aren't an expert with astrology. You get instant natal charts, transits, progressions, directions, solar and lunar returns. There is a complete Astro Tutor with DeVore's Encyclopedia of Astrology. There are four basic wheel types: Standard, Unequal, European, or Aries. You can print out Natal, Transit and Synastry relationships interpretations and so much more.
What's great about this is you can get a sense of whether the wind is behind your back, or you are up against a brick wall, for you or your family. These narrative interpretations are more for the beginner. However, if you understand the planet personalities, it is inexpensive software to get the Transits and the Progressive charts. There are free sites on the Internet that I have found for Natal and even Transit charts. However, you can't overlay them and that is what you will see in this software. It is the only way to really understand what is going on in someone's chart.

3 of the Best Web Design Software Programs for Beginners
Getting There is Half the FunAnyone who owns a business of any type, be it a small crafting business or a full-fledged store, knows how valuable owning a website can be. Not only do websites provide vital contact and location information about the business, but they can also serve as additional revenue centers. Things are bought and sold over the Internet every single day, and an attractive and effective website is the key to joining the party. While thousands of dollars can be tossed into the virtual money pit that is cyberspace, many business owners have simply found that creating their own website from scratch is not as difficult as it was when the Internet was new. The web design software of today provides easy to use interfaces and simplistic drag and drop options, not unlike a system that many people use already on a daily basis, called Windows.
While any computer savvy individual can design a website, many of the web design software programs assume at least a basic skill level of computer knowledge and programming language. Some programs have set themselves apart by all but eliminating the requirement of knowing HTML or any other programming language, opening up the door to the world of web design to everyone. That being said, here are three of the best web design software packages for beginners available (all are available from many different retailers from Wal-Mart or Target to Best Buy or any online retailer as well):

Internet for Beginners: Understanding Information Overload

Published December 08, 2008 by:Kel StumicView Profile | Follow | Add to FavoritesMore:Information OverloadPopupsYou turn on the computer and open your browser. This time you are determined to get something done on the Internet. You start with a simple task, but a snag appears. Then you decide to check your email while you think about how to fix it. Also, you take a peek at the news. Then there was that song you wanted to hear. You wonder what is happening on YouTube. The next thing you know a few hours have passed. You have gone on so many tangents you don't know how you got there. You are suddenly telling yourself, "Stop wasting time!"
Does that sound familiar? This is the curse of information overload.
For beginners who want to learn how to use the Internet productively, information overload is an extra harsh curse. It is paralysis by analysis. There are so many paths to take at once, beginners often get overwhelmed. In addition to the heap of programs they need to study, it seems like there are such an unending amount of scams, viruses, malware, technical gobbledygook, and on and on, that there is an organized conspiracy to keep them from learning. Can anyone blame them for giving up?
Information overload is tough to deal with. The good news is that information overload can be managed. But you have to know what it is, including its causes and effects, before you can do something about it.
Information overload is commonly understood as information instantaneously available in such an excessive quantity that it is impossible to absorb and process by any one person. This makes it hard for a person to evaluate what is valid or not, what is fact or misinformation, what works and what doesn't. Information overload can shut anyone down for doing tasks. Where there should be informed judgment and decision-making, a person instead feels stress, distraction, confusion and uncertainty.
A cute name that has entered the mainstream for information overload is information pollution.

Antiquing can conjure up images of affluent aesthetes dropping small fortunes on trinkets. But most antique stores are much more geared to the average person, and most people who dare to venture in are pleasantly surprised at what they find. From fishing gear to books to clothes to furniture, antique stores have a little something for everyone.
Generally, there are two types of antique shops, the very high end, where pieces are already finished, have their provenance, or history, researched and written out, and are beautifully displayed. These items tend to also carry high price tags. The other type of antique store is more of a vintage rummage sale, usually a larger building holding lots of different items, which are not so organized, and not so expensive. These stores are really just glorified thrift stores, but you can score great deals on furnishings if you are willing to use some elbow grease once you get home.
For your first antiquing trip, set aside an entire day and pick an area with a lot of antique shops (usually the historic district of an older town). The closer to town you are, the more high end the antique stores. These shops are usually clustered together, find one and you can't help but bump into two more. Though the prices may be outside your budget, these shops are still worth a look, you will learn a lot, not only about history but also about what you like. As you drive farther out into the country you will discover more of the larger, hodgepodge style shops. Some areas even have antique strip malls, a rambling building where a bunch of antique vendors each have their own space. Antique strip malls, despite their questionable name, are great for maximizing time and energy, and they often contain lots of variety, with more expensive items next to cheaper objects.

Investing for Beginners
What Beginners to Investing Should KnowThe stock market is an organized system of buying and selling stocks and shares. The place in which these transactions take place is called the stock market as well. The stock market deals with stocks of listed companies. For detailed definitions of stock (and shares), go to Investorwords. They have the most understandable definitions found on the web. Briefly, the stock market aims at the overall stocks sold and bought. Before investing in the stock market, you need to know how it works.
How Does the Stock Market Work?
Anyone is allowed in the stock market to make transactions with stocks, shares or bonds. It doesn't matter how much or how little money you have to invest; a small investor, a beginner investor, to big traders, everyone trades with one another. The price of a stock hinges on the supply and demand of that particular stock. A "middleman" does the share dealing, known as a broker. Most people think "stock broker", but stocks are only a portion of what they broker.
Online Trading
When trading online, there are many sites that you can utilize, and unless you have a fairly substantial amount of money to invest, you'll pay a commission for each transaction that you make. Most will vary with their commission charges, usually falling within a $5 - $10 range. These commissions may sound a little high at first glance, but consider that you probably don't have access to a broker if you're the average Joe or Jane. Online trading has made it possible for many new traders with little to invest. For instance, many people start with as little as $50. If you continue to invest more over time, and have a bit of patience, you can quite possibly manage to make a little money - when stock is up!
There is an open place in the stock market for trading and the process is known as open outcry. This is a method of public auction in which verbal bids and offers are made in the trading ring or pits. Traders gather and wildly shout their individual quotes or bids to sell or buy their stock in the market. This is the mental picture everyone has when they think of trading on the market.

Online Home Business Ideas for BeginnersAdjust font-size:+ –
Published February 27, 2010 by:datarView Profile | Follow | Add to FavoritesMore:Online Home Business OpportunityOnline Home BusinessBusiness IdeasIf you are new to the internet or consider yourself a beginner when it comes to owning your own online home business, there are various options available to you on the internet. This article will discuss two different types of online home business ideas that are ideal for beginners.
What it takes to setup an online home business...
Before we discuss the business ideas that are ideal for beginners, consider for a moment what it actually takes to setup an online home business from scratch.
Firstly, you would need to decide what you are going to sell on the internet to make a home business income, then source products from reputable high paying affiliate companies that are guaranteed to pay you. As a beginner you probably would not know where to start looking for reputable affiliate programs or good products to add to your website.
A website will need to be built (which requires a good knowledge of html) and a good, longstanding, reputable hosting company sourced to host your site.
You will need to incorporate into your income generating website a method to ensure that you can communicate in the future with the visitors to your site. This will mean offering the opportunity for visitors to sign-up for a free newsletter or free products. This will require a reliable auto-responder to be found and set up and incorporated into your site. The series of newsletters will then have to be written so that you can keep in touch with your subscribers for a period of about 400 days with an email going out to them every 3 or 4 days.
I can hear you thinking "Wow, I do not have the knowledge or experience to be able to do all that!" But, guess what? There are programs that do all the research for you, they build an income generating website for you and provide you with a ready made online home business.
The reputable online home business programs will go out of there way to assist beginners in the form of full training and support, training videos, internet income training, internet marketing training guide and a discussion forum. So it is very reassuring to know that you will not be left stranded after you get your online home business website.

Published December 08, 2008 by:Kel StumicView Profile | Follow | Add to FavoritesMore:Information OverloadReally Simple SyndicationPerfectionistsInformation overload is a killer. It dazzles Internet beginners then sucks the enthusiasm right out of them. If you are a beginner and you suffer from paralysis due to information overload, don't despair. There are several remedies.
Make a routine
1. The first thing is to recognize information overload for what it is. At the core, information overload is simply an abundance of good and bad information. The problem is what you do with it. You can't eat all the candy in the store, even if it's free. So accept that.
2. Start setting routines for yourself. If you examine your interests and do your work in the same order each day, you start losing that feeling of loss of control that comes with information overload.
3. You should log your activities for a while to get a handle on what works best for you. That will cut down on a lot of the bad effects from information overload.
4. Make a goal-based work plan, then break it down into task lists and stick to them. But be realistic. Set small easily doable tasks. You can always make up a new list if you get the present one done.
5. Use a timer on your tasks. The will really keep you moving. You will literally squeeze information overload out of your mind during those tasks.
Eliminate distractions
6. You have to eliminate distractions. More signal, less noise. This means no unnecessary distractions while working, especially the incessant bombardment of information overload. Disable email and RSS feed alerts. Turn off your instant messengers. No Twitter (a popular miniblog). Put a sticky on your mouse that says, "Do you really need to click me?" Then focus on your work.
Prioritize
7. Study proper learning and work sequences. What needs to be done first? Then second, third and so on? The very minimum on the Internet is to learn how to operate your browser, how to search and how to set up a blog or web page. You often need to fiddle with a new program to get comfortable with it. If you don't, you can waste a lot of time later hunting for how to do things.
